Get to know me
I'm Toby, a Senior Product Designer and freelancer. I work with creative directors and design leaders to elevate their team's process without the overhead of a permanent hire.
I've been fortunate to lead projects for major regional brands and studios in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the UK. In my last role, I created the multi-product design system for Alraedah Finance which spanned investments, Shariah-compliant SME financing and POS payments via Tray Saudi.
I also built our design practice site to document our learnings of excellence in Arabic-first detail. We introduced it to the community during a design talk at Riyadh Design Nights at Almashtal Creative Incubator.
AI has been a game-changer in my process, from alleviating manual tasks and accelerating the feedback cycle to discover where products succeed or require improvement. In particular, the Figma MCP server with Claude Code and Flora AI for image generation have been my go-to avenues.
Outside of that, the study of culture and ethnography is super interesting for me. I learn Arabic and Spanish as a way to understand human-behavior and translate insights into powerful products.
